For websites, avoid uploading a 4000-pixel image when it will only appear at 800 pixels wide.
The aspect ratio connects width and height. Keeping it locked prevents faces, logos and objects from looking stretched. Use JPG for photographs, PNG for graphics that require transparency, or WebP for efficient web delivery. After resizing, you can reduce the file further with the Image Compressor or select a specific area with the Image Cropper.
